About the role

Our company is a well-known leader in the luxury homewares market with stores in Sydney and Melbourne. Our reputation for providing high quality homewares and exceptional service is second to none. We are seeking a full-time Senior Retail Sales Assistant Manager for our Sydney store.

The successful applicant will have a minimum of 4 years experience selling to discerning customers while providing exceptional customer service. As a senior Retail Sales professional, you will be at the forefront of our customer engagement strategy, responsible for leading sales initiatives, mentoring junior team members and achieving sales targets. As such, we offer a generous salary package commensurate with your experience and expertise.

Key responsibilities

- Lead and exceed individual sales targets whilst driving overall store sales performance and profitability
- Deliver exceptional customer service by providing expert product knowledge and tailored solutions to meet customer needs
- Mentor and coach junior retail staff, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement within the team
- Assist in maintaining visual merchandising standards and ensure the retail environment is welcoming, organised and compliant with company guidelines
- Process transactions accurately using point-of-sale systems and handle cash management responsibilities with integrity
- Support inventory management activities including stock checks, ordering and replenishment as required

What we're looking for

- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets in a retail environment with at least 4 years of progressive retail sales experience
- Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding customer service consistently and build solid customer relationships
- Natural leadership qualities with experience mentoring, coaching or supervising retail team members
- Strong product knowledge and ability to communicate product features and benefits persuasively to diverse customer groups




- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment
- Proficiency with retail technology systems, point-of-sale software and inventory management tools
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- A passion for retail excellence and commitment to delivering exceptional customer experiences
- Preferred: Retail management or supervisory experience, and familiarity with visual merchandising best practices
