The Role

As a Senior Tax Accountant, you will take ownership of a varied portfolio of individuals and businesses, delivering high-quality tax compliance and advisory services.

Your Responsibilities

- Preparing and reviewing financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships and individuals
- Managing tax compliance requirements across a diverse client portfolio
- Providing practical tax planning and business advisory support
- Identifying taxation risks, opportunities and strategies for clients
- Managing and responding to ATO queries and correspondence
- Building strong, long-term client relationships
- Working alongside accountants, financial advisers and finance specialists to provide integrated solutions
- Reviewing work and providing guidance to junior team members
- Contributing to improvements in systems, processes and service delivery
- Keeping up to date with Australian taxation legislation and regulatory changes

About You





- Strong Australian taxation and compliance experience
- Previous experience in public practice accounting
- Experience preparing financial statements and tax returns across multiple entity types
- CA, CPA or equivalent qualification, or be working towards completion
- A relevant Accounting, Finance or Commerce degree
- Strong technical accounting and taxation knowledge
- Experience with Xero, MYOB or similar accounting and tax software
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication skills and confidence dealing directly with clients
- The ability to manage competing deadlines and work autonomously
- Experience mentoring or reviewing junior accountants would be advantageous
