Build trusted client relationships. Deliver practical tax advice. Help businesses make better decisions.
At Actuate Accounting, we help business owners take action. We're a boutique accounting and advisory firm based on Sydney's North Shore, providing taxation, compliance, business advisory and virtual CFO services to privately owned businesses, investors and high-net-worth individuals.
We founded Actuate as an alternative to the larger accounting firms where our directors began their careers. Our goal is simple: deliver the expertise and breadth of a larger firm while maintaining the responsiveness, flexibility and personalised service of a boutique practice.
We're looking for an experienced Senior Taxation Accountant to join our growing team and play a key role in supporting our clients and mentoring junior accountants.

- Manage BAS, IAS and other compliance obligations
- Assist with tax planning and year-end tax strategies
- Provide practical taxation and business advice to clients
- Support clients with entity structuring, asset protection and tax compliance matters
- Identify opportunities to improve client outcomes and business performance
- Build strong and lasting client relationships
- Assist clients with Xero and related cloud accounting applications
- Review work prepared by junior team members
- Mentor and support graduate and intermediate accountants
- Work directly with directors on complex client engagements and advisory projects
About You
You'll be someone who enjoys building client relationships, solving problems and delivering work to a high skilled standard.
Ideally you'll have
- Bachelor of Accounting, Commerce or Business
- CA qualified or nearing completion
- 4+ years' experience within public practice

- Experience reviewing compliance work and managing client portfolios
- Experience with Xero and cloud-based accounting systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- A collaborative and team-focused approach
- A genuine interest in helping clients achieve their goals
What We Offer
- $100,000 - $130,000 package inclusive of superannuation
- Hybrid work arrangements
