Currently on the market for an Infrastructure Technical Business Analyst for an initial 6-month contract for one of our large enterprise clients, located in Melbourne.
About the Role The IT Infrastructure Technical Analyst acts as the bridge between architecture, cyber security, engineering, operations, service delivery and external delivery partners across the infrastructure portfolio.
The role gathers, analyses and documents technical, security and operational requirements; converts requirements into traceable delivery artefacts; supports agile planning; coordinates implementation readiness; and assists production change execution across Technology Infrastructure domains.
The successful candidate will have experience working within Infrastructure teams – Server, Hosting, Identity, Networks & Comms, Cloud Services
Key responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering — Facilitate workshops with engineering teams to capture functional and non‑functional requirements.
- Cloud & Network Analysis — Analyse systems, dependencies, and integration points across Azure, networks, firewalls, and identity platforms.
- IDAM Requirements & Mapping — Document identity workflows, access models, and integration requirements for MS Entra or similar platforms.
- Process Mapping — Document current‑state and future‑state processes for infrastructure operations.
- Technical Documentation — Produce BRDs, FRDs, solution outlines, data flow diagrams, and operational readiness artefacts.
- Testing Support — Assist with SIT/UAT planning, test case creation, and validation of infrastructure changes.
- Change Impact Assessment — Identify impacts to users, systems, and operations for upcoming infrastructure changes.
- Stakeholder Engagement — Work with engineers, architects, PMs, and business units to ensure clarity and alignment.
About You:
- Business Analyst in infrastructure, cloud, networks, or cyber security .
- Demonstrated experience as a Technical Analyst, Infrastructure Analyst or Technical Delivery Analyst in a complex enterprise setting.
- Experience delivering infrastructure, security, cloud, network, identity, data protection or operational technology initiatives.
- Requirements plans, workshop outputs and stakeholder maps
- Technical, security, operational and non-functional requirements
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business‑ready documentation.
- Experience with ITIL , service management, and operational processes.
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
