Senior Workday Financials Support Consultant

QIX Consulting is partnering with a leading enterprise client seeking an experienced Senior Workday Financials Support Consultant to provide L2/L3 production support across a complex Workday Financial Management environment.

This is a senior functional role suited to someone with deep Workday Financials expertise, strong Finance business process knowledge and proven experience troubleshooting complex production issues while working directly with Finance and Technology stakeholders.

What You’ll Be Doing

- Provide L2/L3 functional support across Workday Financials
- Support Financial Accounting, Banking & Settlement, Customer Accounts, Projects, Assets and Grants
- Manage and troubleshoot Workday FDM, ledger accounts, spend/revenue categories, journals, allocations and intercompany processing
- Support payment cycles, settlements, bank statements, reconciliations and payment file issues
- Resolve customer accounting, receivables and revenue-related issues
- Support project costing, grant management, award administration and project accounting
- Troubleshoot asset acquisition, capitalisation, depreciation, transfers and retirements
- Support month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, audits and compliance activities
- Maintain custom reports and dashboards
- Support Workday security including user provisioning, role assignments, domain security and Segregation of Duties (SoD) reviews
- Investigate incidents, identify root causes and support system enhancements and continuous improvement

What We’re Looking For

- 7+ years’ Workday Financials experience




- Strong hands-on experience supporting Workday Financial Management in a production environment
- Strong functional expertise across Financial Accounting and multiple areas including Banking & Settlement, Customer Accounts, Projects, Assets and Grants
- Solid experience with Workday FDM and Financial Reporting
- Understanding of Accounting Center concepts and EIB processing
- Demonstrated L2/L3 troubleshooting and incident resolution experience
- Strong understanding of Finance and accounting business processes
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across Finance and Technology teams

Highly Regarded

- Workday Financials certification
- Utilities industry experience
- Experience within large, multi-company Workday environments
- Month-end close support experience
- Audit, compliance and financial reconciliation experience
- Workday security and access management exposure
