We are seeking an experienced Interim Head of People Services to provide operational leadership during a period of transition. Reporting to the CEO, this role involves leading the day-to-day delivery of the People function, ensuring business continuity across various HR domains. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on HR professional who can quickly build relationships, provide stability, and make an immediate impact within a values-led organisation.

Day-to-day Of The Role

- Lead the delivery of HR operations, employee relations, recruitment, workforce planning, payroll oversight, and people systems.
- Work closely with the Director of People Services to support key workforce priorities while maintaining a high-quality, compliant HR service.




- Ensure effective stakeholder management and maintain solid communication across all levels of the organisation.
- Provide strategic and operational HR guidance to senior leaders and the board.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Proven senior HR leadership experience.
- Strong operational and strategic HR knowledge.
- Extensive experience in employee relations and change management.
- Experience advising senior leaders and boards.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law.
- CIPD Level 7 preferred (Level 5 with significant experience considered).

Desirable

- Experience in healthcare, charity, or not-for-profit sectors.
- Experience managing volunteers.
- Familiarity with HR systems and payroll oversight.
