Senior Hazardous Materials & Occupational Hygiene Consultant

I'm recruiting an experienced Hazardous Materials / Occupational Hygiene Consultant for a specialist consultancy in Adelaide.

This is a senior technical position rather than a heavy people-management role. You'll be the senior technical person within the Adelaide team , working on the more complex projects, reviewing work and helping develop less experienced consultants.

The role

You'll be involved in:

- Complex HazMat and Occupational Hygiene projects
- Asbestos surveys, air monitoring and clearance inspections
- Occupational exposure assessments
- Technical review of reports
- Client advice and project coordination

The work covers a good mix of industry, infrastructure, defence, education and facilities projects.

I'm looking for:





- Around 6+ years' HazMat / Asbestos / Occupational Hygiene experience
- Relevant degree in Occupational Hygiene, Environmental Science, Science or Engineering
- Strong technical and report-writing skills
- Comfortable dealing directly with clients
- SafeWork SA Licensed Asbestos Assessor would be a big advantage – or the ability/willingness to obtain it.

This would suit someone who enjoys being technically hands-on and wants more influence without necessarily wanting to become a full time people manager.

Adelaide | Full Time | Flexible working

Salary negotiable depending on experience.
