About ACCS: ACCS prepares counsellors, ministry workers and educators through accredited higher education programs shaped by a Christian understanding of persons, change and care. Our counselling programs sit at AQF Levels 7 to 9 and combine clinical rigour with theological depth. The college values academic excellence, Christian formation, and dynamic learning environments.

The Role: We seek experienced counsellors to teach and/or mark in undergraduate and postgraduate counselling subjects. Work is offered by trimester and scoped to full subject delivery, guest lecturing, or marking only, depending on your availability and expertise. facilitating student engagement and supporting learners in understanding counselling theory and skills.

Responsibilities

- Deliver lectures and facilitate seminars on campus or online
- Mark assessments against published rubrics and write clear marking reports
- Provide timely, developmental feedback within agreed turnaround times
- Support students through Moodle, phone and email
- Contribute to moderation and grade record accuracy
- Uphold academic integrity under the ACCS Style Manual and policies
- Essential





- Postgraduate qualification in counselling or a closely related discipline, at least one AQF level above the subject taught.
- Demonstrated counselling practice experience
- Agreement with the ACCS Statement of Faith and local church involvement
- Confidence teaching and marking in an online environment
- Right to work in Australia and current Working with Children Check

Desirable

- Doctoral qualification preferred or current candidature
- Current membership with ACA, CCAA, PACFA or an equivalent skilled body
- Prior tertiary teaching, subject coordination, or marking experience
- Clinical supervision experience
- Strength in biblical studies and theology with counselling theory and practice in ministry contexts
