Role: Sharepoint Developer

Location: Melbourne preferred but open to all AUS locations

Role purpose

Lead the technical delivery of the upgrade from SharePoint Server 2016 to SharePoint

Server Subscription Edition in an Azure IaaS-hosted environment. The role is accountable for establishing a repeatable farm-build validating and remediating custom SharePoint solutions, and supporting migration through testing, cutover, rollback and operational handover.

Key responsibilities

- Build and configure recent SharePoint Subscription Edition farms on Azure IaaS.
- Recreate farm topology, web applications, service applications, authentication, certificates, permissions and service accounts.
- Perform database readiness checks and database-attach upgrades.
- Configure and validate Search, User Profile, Managed Metadata and Secure Store.
- Assess, deploy and remediate WSP and full-trust farm solutions.
- Troubleshoot custom C# components, including Web Parts, event receivers and Feature receivers.
- Validate workflows, Microsoft Graph, Entra ID, MSAL, REST and WCF integrations.
- Support HA, load balancing, DNS,



networking and security configuration.
- Support testing, Production cutover, rollback and hypercare.
- Establish a reusable upgrade pattern across all environments.

Mandatory technical skills Must have:

- SharePoint Server 2016 and Subscription Edition
- Direct SharePoint 2016 to Subscription Edition upgrades
- Database-attach upgrade experience
- SharePoint farm administration and PowerShell
- WSP/full-trust solutions and SharePoint Server Object Model
- Knowledge of C# and .NET Framework 4.8
- Search, User Profile, Managed Metadata and Secure Store
- IIS, SQL connectivity, authentication and certificates
- ULS, IIS and SharePoint upgrade-log troubleshooting
- Azure IaaS-hosted, load-balanced SharePoint farms
