About Useless Loop & Shark Bay Resources
Shark Bay Resources is a remote solar salt operation located at Useless Loop within the spectacular Shark Bay World Heritage Area of Western Australia. As part of Shark Bay Salt Pty Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Mitsui & Co. Ltd, we operate 40 crystalliser ponds and produce high-quality salt for export to international markets.

The Role:
This position will be reporting to the Town Maintenance Supervisor and will be working 9 days on, 5 days off roster on a 10.5-hour shift.
The Duties:
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing, gas, and water treatment systems, including piping, controls, fixtures, water heaters, and underground stormwater and sanitary systems.
- Review building plans and specifications to determine plumbing layouts, materials, and equipment requirements.
- Identify and source required tools, equipment, and materials, coordinate work schedules with other trades and suppliers.
- Conduct testing and inspections of pipe systems and fixtures to detect leaks and ensure functionality.
- Perform scheduled maintenance services on plumbing and gas systems in accordance with manufacturer specifications and operational requirements.
- Inspect buildings and facilities to identify maintenance or repair needs.
- Ensure all installations, repairs, and maintenance comply with building codes, relevant legislation, and safety standards.
- Operate and maintain tools, plant, and equipment safely and effectively in accordance with company and regulatory requirements.
About you:
- Western Australian Drivers Licence
- Trade Qualified.
- WA Contractors Plumbing Licence.
- WA G Class Gas Fitting Licence
- Domestic and Commercial experience - Highly desirable.
- Detailed knowledge of relevant building codes, legislation, and regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and specifications
- Experience within maintenance/repairs, desirable within the mining industry.
- Team player with solid interpersonal and communication skills, positive can-do attitude, and a strong commitment to safety and compliance.
