We’ve just received an urgent requirement for an experienced SharePoint Developer / Engineer to work on a major Defence/Government environment.

This is a hands-on technical delivery role focused on an Azure-to-Azure migration and the upgrade from SharePoint Server 2016 to SharePoint Server Subscription Edition .

The opportunity:

- Fully remote – work from anywhere in Australia
- September 2026 – February 2027
- Strong view to extend

- Australian Citizenship is mandatory due to the Defence/Government environment

The key requirement: You’ll need robust hands-on experience with SharePoint Server Subscription Edition , SharePoint upgrades/migrations and Azure-hosted SharePoint environments.

What we’re looking for:

- SharePoint Server 2016 & SharePoint Server Subscription Edition
- Azure-to-Azure migration experience
- Direct SharePoint upgrade experience
- Database-attach upgrades




- SharePoint farm administration & PowerShell
- Azure IaaS-hosted, load-balanced SharePoint farms
- WSP/full-trust solutions & SharePoint Server Object Model
- C# & .NET Framework 4.8
- Search, User Profile, Managed Metadata & Secure Store
- IIS, SQL connectivity, authentication & certificates
- ULS, IIS and SharePoint upgrade-log troubleshooting

Highly regarded: Entra ID / Azure AD, MSAL/OAuth, Microsoft Graph, REST/WCF integrations, Visual Studio/MSBuild, CI/CD for WSP deployment, SharePoint security hardening and production cutover/DR experience.
