About the Role As a Shotfirer you will be responsible for the safe, efficient and compliant execution of blasting activities and the operation of Mobile Processing Units (MPUs) on site.

The role will include Shotfiring with a strong focus on safety, product quality, accurate documentation and achieving production requirements without compromising safe work practices.

Your responsibilities will include

- Preparing and loading blast holes
- Tie-up and initiation of blasts
- Explosive handling and product management
- Magazine management and compliance documentation
- Coordinating blast activities with site personnel
- Maintaining accurate blast records and documentation




- Promoting and maintaining a strong safety culture on site

What You’ll Bring To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Current Australian Driver's Licence

- Current WA Shotfirer's Licence
- Current Dangerous Goods Security Card
- Minimum 2 years' experience as an appointed Open Pit Shotfirer
- Current National Police Clearance (issued within the last 6 months)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening

- Full Australian working rights

Demonstrated experience in
- Blast loading, tie-up and initiation.
- Explosive handling and product management.
- Blast pattern execution.
- Magazine management and explosive stock control.
- Blast and explosive compliance documentation.
- Ability to safely plan and execute blasting activities
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
