Immediate Start Hancock Energy has a Max Term opportunity until December 2028 for a Site Coordinator to join a growing team supporting onshore oil and gas projects throughout Western Australia.
This prospect is within the Projects team based onshore located in the Mid-West region of WA. The Onsite Site coordinator is responsible for Site establishment, Early works, Earthworks and Civil Concrete, including HSE reporting. This role reports into the Projects Site manager.
The Site Coordinator is responsible for coordinating site-based project activities to ensure the protected, effective, and compliant delivery of construction and operational works associated with Hancock Energy’s Gas Project. The role acts as the key interface between contractors, project management, and site personnel, ensuring work is executed in accordance with project schedules, quality requirements, Permit to Work (PTW) processes, and Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) standards.
The Site Coordinator will provide visible leadership in promoting a positive safety culture, support contractor management and site logistics, oversee the effective implementation of permit and work control systems, and assist the Construction Manager in the day-to-day execution of project activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily construction and site activities to support safe and efficient project delivery.
- Assist the Construction Manager in monitoring project schedule, progress and performance.
- Coordinate contractor mobilisation, work fronts, access requirements and site logistics.
- Monitor contractor activities to ensure compliance with project scope, standards and approved work methods.
- Maintain oversight of site activities and identify potential risks, delays or operational issues.
- Assist with planning and coordination of shutdowns, critical works and construction interfaces.
- Support permit to work, isolation, verification and work authorisation processes where applicable.
- Coordinate site inspections and verification of completed works.
- Maintain project records, site documentation and construction reporting requirements.
- Track and assist with close-out of actions arising from inspections, audits, meetings and investigations.
- Assist with monitoring project KPIs including safety, schedule, quality and contractor performance.
- Support preparation and review of work packs, risk assessments and construction documentation.
- Provide regular updates to the Site Manager regarding site progress and emerging issues.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Minimum 10-15 years’ experience in construction, resources, oil & gas, infrastructure or major project environments.
- Minimum of 10 years Site Coordination & HSE experience, preferably including major construction projects.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating contractors and site-based activities.
- Strong understanding of HSE systems, risk management and contractor management.
- Experience supporting construction delivery within remote or brownfield/greenfield project environments.
- Sound understanding of Australian WHS legislation, industry standards and best practices.
- Experience in incident reporting, investigations and corrective action management.
- Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
