About the Role

n

Reporting into the Group Payroll Manager, the Payroll Team Leader will take ownership of the day-to-day delivery of payroll while leading and developing a team of payroll professionals.

n

You'll ensure payroll is delivered accurately, on time and in line with legislative requirements, while acting as an escalation point for more complex matters.

n

This role will suit an experienced payroll professional who enjoys leading from the front, brings strong technical knowledge and has a genuine passion for developing a capable and engaged team.

Duties

- Lead end-to-end payroll delivery, ensuring accuracy, timeliness and compliance
n
- Coach and develop the payroll team, building capability and accountability
n
- Act as an escalation point for complex payroll matters
n
- Oversee payroll reconciliations, controls and compliance requirements
n
- Drive process improvements and contribute to payroll system enhancements
n
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders across the business
n

Skills and Experience

n

n
- Strong end-to-end payroll experience within a complex environment
n
- Previous experience leading and developing a payroll team
n
- Strong knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, awards, EBAs, tax and superannuation
n
- Experience with payroll systems, reconciliations and process improvementConfident communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
n
- Collaborative, hands-on and improvement-focused leadership style
