Make a Difference in the Lives of Young People headspace leads the way in providing early intervention services to young people aged 12-25 years. We are seeking a passionate and community-connected Social & Emotional Wellbeing (SEWB) Youth Worker to join our team in Cowra, NSW (Wiradjuri Country).

This is an exciting opportunity to support young people and their families by providing culturally safe, youth-friendly support that strengthens social, emotional and mental wellbeing. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will help young people access services, build connections to community, and navigate challenges that impact their health and wellbeing.

About The Role

As the SEWB Youth Worker, you will:

- Support young people aged 12-25 years to improve their social, emotional and mental wellbeing.
- Build strong relationships with young people, families, community organisations and service providers.
- Assist young people to access services, referrals and community supports.
- Participate in community engagement and health promotion activities.
- Advocate for young people and support coordinated care planning.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team setting.
- Contribute to culturally safe and inclusive service delivery.
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation.

About You To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.



This is a genuine occupational requirement for this role.
- Experience supporting the social and emotional wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities.
- Relevant qualifications in Mental Health, Community Services, Primary Health or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent organisation, problem-solving and time management skills.
- A current Australian Driver Licence
- A current Working with Children Check and National Police Check (or ability to obtain)
