About portier portier is an independent Australian lifestyle brand creating considered products for modern parenthood. What began with a better baby carrier has evolved into a growing collection spanning babywearing, apparel and accessories, bringing together purposeful design, premium fabrication and a distinctly fashion-led point of view.

As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Social Media Manager to take ownership of our organic social presence and help shape the next chapter of the portier brand.

About the role This is an chance for an experienced Social Media Specialist who is ready to step up, own the function and operate at a manager level. You’ll lead the day-to-day strategy, creation and management of portier’s organic social channels, translating the brand into content that feels relevant, elevated and distinctly ours. The role blends creative thinking with hands-on execution.

You’ll develop the social strategy, manage the content calendar, create and edit platform-first content, oversee our creator and influencer activity, engage with our community and use performance insights to continually strengthen our approach. Working closely with the Founder and Head of Marketing, you’ll have the autonomy to bring forward ideas, make decisions and establish a clear point of view for how portier shows up across Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Facebook and emerging platforms.

What you’ll own

- Develop and lead portier’s organic social media strategy, aligned with our brand direction, marketing calendar and commercial objectives.
- Own the social content calendar from initial concept through to scheduling and publication.
- Create, capture and edit social-first content, including Reels, TikToks, short-form video, imagery, Stories and founder-led content.
- Translate campaign assets into platform-specific content that feels native, engaging and relevant.
- Identify cultural moments,

trends and conversations that make sense for portier—moving quickly while protecting the integrity of the brand.
- Contribute creative concepts and social direction for campaign, product and lifestyle shoots.
- Coordinate agile social shoots, including briefing talent, creators, photographers and other creative partners.
- Lead our influencer and creator activity, from talent identification and outreach through to gifting, briefing, relationship management and content delivery.
- Manage daily channel activity and community engagement, ensuring every interaction reflects portier’s tone of voice and customer experience.
- Monitor content performance, audience growth and engagement, delivering clear reporting and actionable recommendations.
- Continually test new formats, creative approaches and platform opportunities to improve performance.
- Maintain an organised content library and oversee relevant social tools, partners and expenditure.

About you
- You’re highly creative, culturally aware and deeply connected to social media—but you also understand that strong social requires consistency, organisation and commercial thinking.
- You may currently be a Senior Social Media Specialist ready to step into your first manager role, or an existing Social Media Manager looking for greater creative ownership within an independent and growing brand.
- You’ll ideally bring:
- Demonstrated experience managing social media for a fashion, lifestyle, beauty, retail or design-led consumer brand.

- A strong understanding of Instagram and TikTok, including how to create content that feels native to each platform.
- Proven experience developing content calendars and taking ideas from concept to execution.
- Strong short-form video creation and editing skills using tools such as CapCut, Premiere Pro or After Effects.
- A refined visual eye and the ability to protect and evolve a premium brand aesthetic.
- Experience managing influencers, creators, talent and product-gifting programs.
- Confidence interpreting social performance and translating insights into future content decisions.
- Excellent communication, copywriting and organisational skills.
- The initiative to identify opportunities, present ideas and take full ownership of your work.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Canva or Later would be highly regarded.

You don’t need to be a traditional people manager. We’re looking for someone ready to own the social function, lead its direction and grow with the business.

Why join portier

- Take genuine ownership of social within an ambitious, founder-led Australian brand.
- Work closely with the Founder and a collaborative in-house marketing and creative team.
- Have a meaningful voice in the creative direction and continued growth of the brand.
- Work across fashion, lifestyle, product, community, talent and events.
- Join the business at an exciting stage, with the opportunity to shape both the role and its future.
- Receive a competitive salary, product allowance and staff discount.

If you’re ready to move beyond executing someone else’s social plan and want the opportunity to shape, create and own one, we’d love to hear from you.

Please apply with your résumé, portfolio or examples of social accounts and content you’ve created, along with a short introduction telling us why portier feels like the right next step for you.
