Role Description This is a full time, on-site Software Test Engineer role based in Melbourne, VIC.

The Software Test

Engineer will design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for digital platforms and enterprise applications, ensuring they meet functional and non-functional requirements.

Responsibilities include collaborating with developers, business analysts, and product owners to understand requirements, identifying defects, and verifying fixes. The role involves participating in Agile ceremonies, contributing to test automation frameworks,



and supporting continuous integration and delivery practices.

The Software Test

Engineer will also help improve testing processes, document test results clearly, and support independent digital assurance initiatives across client projects.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in software testing, including test planning, test case design, and execution across functional, regression, and integration testing.
- Experience with test automation tools and frameworks, scripting or programming for automation, and familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
- Knowledge of Agile and DevOps practices, including working in cross-functional teams, participating in sprints, and supporting continuous delivery.
- Understanding of non-functional testing domains such as performance, security, and usability, along with defect management and root cause analysis.
- Ability to work closely with business stakeholders to validate requirements, support user acceptance testing, and communicate test outcomes clearly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with enterprise or digital business systems, and exposure to Quality Engineering or independent assurance services is beneficial.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work effectively in an on-site, collaborative environment.
