Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Solicitor role based in Sydney, NSW. The Solicitor will provide legal advice and representation across a range of commercial and private client matters, including drafting and reviewing contracts, preparing transaction documents, and managing files from initial instruction through to completion. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting legal research, advising clients on risk and strategy, liaising with counterparties and external stakeholders, and appearing at negotiations or hearings where required.
The role involves working closely with partners and colleagues to deliver clear, commercially focused solutions,
maintaining strong client relationships, and contributing to business development activities. The Solicitor will also be expected to manage deadlines, ensure compliance with regulatory and professional obligations, and uphold the firm’s high standards of service and ethics.
Qualifications
- Solid foundation in Law with demonstrated experience in commercial practice and client advisory work.
- Experience in Conveyancing and Commercial Real Estate, including property transactions, leases, and related documentation.
- Knowledge of Labor and Employment Law, advising on workplace rights, contracts, and compliance issues.
- Experience or interest in Family Law, including relationship property, parenting, and related dispute resolution.
- Admission as a Solicitor in Australia and a current practising certificate (or eligibility to obtain one).
- Excellent legal research, drafting, and analytical skills, with the ability to provide clear, commercially focused advice.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach and ability to build long-term relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple matters, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced workplace.
- Bilingual skills, particularly fluency in Mandarin, are highly advantageous but not mandatory.
- Experience working in a commercial or boutique law firm environment is beneficial.
