Purpose Again University Internship Program

Melbourne | Approximately 1 day per week | Through to the end of 2026

Purpose Again is an early-stage Australian startup helping people navigate life beyond work with greater purpose, connection and direction.

We are building a personalised digital experience designed to help people reflect on what matters to them, explore what they want next, and turn those insights into meaningful action.

As we move through our next stage of product development, pilots and partnerships, we are looking for 2–3 motivated university students who would like hands-on experience inside a growing startup.

This is not an observational internship. You will work alongside the Purpose Again team on real projects and gain exposure to product development, marketing, partnerships and early-stage business growth.

Internship streams

Applicants can nominate the area they are most interested in.

Marketing & Community

Working alongside our marketing team, you may help with:

- identifying relevant conversations and organisations on LinkedIn
- researching sector trends, topics and content opportunities
- drafting thoughtful comments and social content
- supporting campaigns and content planning
- researching organisations, communities and industry voices relevant to Purpose Again
- helping build awareness of the Purpose Again brand

This stream may suit students studying marketing, communications, media, business or related areas. Partnerships & Growth

Working alongside our partnerships team, you may help with:

- researching prospective customers and partners
- building targeted organisation and contact lists
- identifying relevant decision-makers
- researching organisations before meetings and outreach
- supporting CRM and business development activity
- helping prepare proposals, presentations and Qwilr materials




- researching opportunities across retirement living, superannuation, employers, community organisations and related sectors

This stream may suit students studying business, marketing, commerce, entrepreneurship or related areas. Product Experience & Testing

Working with the Purpose Again founding and product team, you may help us test and improve the experience before it reaches participants and partners.

This could include

- setting up test participant, facilitator and administrator accounts
- working through the Purpose Again experience from beginning to end
- testing questions, prompts and user journeys
- testing login, account creation, buttons and navigation
- testing the participant, facilitator and administration portals
- identifying bugs, confusing experiences and usability issues
- documenting feedback and suggesting improvements
- approaching the platform as a first-time user and telling us where things are unclear

This stream may suit students studying UX, product design, psychology, information systems, technology, digital design or business.

What we are looking for

You do not need extensive qualified experience.

We are more interested in people who are:

- curious and proactive
- comfortable working independently
- strong communicators
- organised and reliable
- comfortable using digital tools and AI
- willing to ask questions and suggest improvements
- interested in startups, ageing, purpose, wellbeing or social impact




- keen to work on something at an early stage where their contribution can genuinely be seen

The experience can be shaped around your interests, strengths and university requirements.

Placement structure

We expect the placement to be approximately one day per week through to the end of 2026, with some flexibility around university commitments.

This opportunity is intended for students who are able to undertake the internship as a recognised university internship, Work Integrated Learning (WIL) or vocational placement.

We are happy to work with your university to complete reasonable placement documentation and requirements.
