The opportunity As part of our Strategic Workforce Planning team, you’ll help QBE build a future-ready workforce by translating business, technology and transformation priorities into clear workforce insights, scenarios and actions. Working with senior leaders, you’ll use workforce analysis, supply and demand modelling, external talent data and consulting-style problem solving to identify future capability needs, workforce risks and practical actions across a 3–5 year horizon.

Your current role

Key responsibilities include

- Lead strategic workforce planning, including workforce forecasting, scenario modelling, capability mapping & planning, and workforce supply and demand analysis.
- Translate business strategy, transformation priorities and financial plans into actionable workforce strategies, roadmaps and workforce interventions.
- Analyse workforce, organisational, financial and external talent data, to identify skill gaps, capacity risks and future workforce requirements.
- Partner with and influence senior executives and business leaders to frame workforce problems, test options and shape evidence-based recommendations.




- Build clear visual and verbal narratives that simplify complex workforce insights and support senior decision-making.
- Refine SWP methods, tools, analysis and planning practices to support repeatable, enterprise-wide workforce planning.
- Advise on workforce impacts of business and technology change, including implications for roles, skills, operating models, cost and delivery risk.

About You You’ll bring strategic workforce planning experience from a consulting firm or large, complex organisation. You’ll be highly analytical, commercially minded and confident turning data into clear workforce choices for senior leaders.

You'll also have

- Strong visual and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft, edit and present clear executive-level narratives.
- Strong workforce analysis capability, including advanced Excel skills and experience using workforce or people analytics/data platforms.
- Experience with workforce supply and demand modelling, including use of labour market and talent data sources.
- Practical understanding of strategic workforce planning, including future workforce scenarios, capability needs and action planning.
- Strong senior stakeholder consulting skills, including problem framing, influencing, option development and recommendation design.
