About the role
We are seeking an organised and proactive Support Specialist to join our Corporate Affairs and Engagement Group on a fixed-term full-time basis through to 27 January 2028. The role supports the Corporate Affairs and Engagement Group, including Destination Partnerships, Host Program, Corporate Affairs, Ministerial and Government Relations teams, through the delivery of high-quality administrative support, project coordination, reporting and communications activities.
Reporting to the Executive Corporate Affairs and Engagement, this is an exciting opportunity to work closely with senior leaders, stakeholders and partners while contributing to initiatives that support Queensland's tourism and events industry.
Key duties
- Provide executive support including calendar management, travel coordination, expense claims, purchase orders, invoices and credit card reconciliations.
- Provide support to the CEO's Office and undertake Personal Assistant duties during periods of leave.
- Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas and minutes, and manage action items.
- Support regional board visits, stakeholder events and associated logistics.
- Monitor and report on project activities and progress.
- Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships and provide a high level of customer service.

- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
- Ability to engage professionally with stakeholders at all levels, including executives, board members and government representatives.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, discretion and attention to detail.
- Experience providing administrative or executive support.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the preparation of reports, presentations and correspondence.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
