Support Technician (Electrical)

We are currently seeking a Support Technician (Electrical) to join our team at the Perth Seawater Desalination Plant.

This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled Electrical or Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I;) Technician to play a key role in maintaining one of Australia's critical water infrastructure assets.

About the Role

Reporting to the Maintenance & Engineering Manager, you will support the plant's maintenance strategy and help ensure the ongoing reliability, availability and performance of plant assets. Working within a highly automated environment, you will undertake preventative and corrective maintenance activities, fault finding, equipment repairs and system troubleshooting.

Key responsibilities include

- Performing preventative and corrective maintenance on plant equipment and systems.
- Diagnosing and rectifying equipment and process faults.
- Conducting instrument calibrations, condition monitoring and plant inspections.




- Completing maintenance activities and recording work in the CMMS system.
- Supporting plant operations during unplanned events and participating in an on-call roster.
- Promoting a strong safety, quality and environmental culture.

About You

To be successful, you will have:
- A Trade Qualification in Electrical or Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I;).
- Minimum 5 years' experience in water, petrochemical, mining or other highly automated industrial environments.
- Experience working with PLC, DCS, instrumentation and high-voltage assets.
- Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting capabilities.
- A hands-on approach and commitment to continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable

- Desalination plant maintenance experience.
- Exposure to asset-intensive industrial operations.
- Experience working within safety and quality management systems.
