Are you a GP who wants to make a real difference to the lives of young people?

headspace Chatswood is currently looking to increase their general practice (GP) capacity to support young people accessing health care.

headspace centre's offer free youth health services for young people aged 12-25 years. The centre employs a multidisciplinary team of psychologists, occupational therapists, social workers, counsellors, youth workers, GP's and other staff to support the health and wellbeing of young people, with a focus on mental health.

Being apart of the headspace team offers GPs the opportunity to provide much needed medical services to young people as part of a collaborative and holistic model of care, in an environment that encourages the development of ongoing therapeutic relationships with young people.

The Role

As a GP at headspace Chatswood, you will:

- Provide comprehensive primary health care to young people in a welcoming, stigma-free setting.
- Work collaboratively with a team of psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, youth workers, and other health professionals.
- Address a broad range of health issues including mental health, sexual health, chronic illness, and preventative care.
- Participate in case reviews and contribute to integrated care planning.

About You

You are a GP with:

- Approved tertiary qualifications

- Current AHPRA registration

- Has own ABN and Medicare provider number.

- Medical Indemnity Insurance.

- Experience or interest in working with young people.
- A commitment to holistic, person-centred care.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

- NDIS, WWCC and National Police Check

Experience in mental health, sexual health, or working in multidisciplinary settings is highly desirable.
