Join us as a Valuation Manager, where you’ll have oversight of a diversified portfolio of internally and externally managed unlisted investments, supporting the delivery of accurate, transparent, and well-governed valuation outcomes. The position coordinates team planning and priorities, facilitates effective team operations, and serves as the lead coordinator for external audits, helping ensure strong governance, regulatory compliance, and audit readiness.
- Lead the valuation oversight and review of a portfolio of internally and externally managed unlisted investments, ensuring valuation outcomes are robust, independently challenged, and appropriately documented.
- Identify, assess, and manage valuation risks across assigned investments, ensuring compliance with internal policy, governance, audit, and regulatory requirements.
- Develop solid relationships with Investment teams, external managers, external valuers, auditors, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective valuation oversight and challenge.
- Review and challenge valuation methodologies, assumptions, forecasts, and key inputs to ensure an independent and well-supported view of value.
- Monitor portfolio valuation trends and emerging risks, maintain key valuation databases and metrics, and provide insights to support decision-making and governance forums.
- Prepare and present valuation papers, recommendations, and findings to the Finance Valuation Committee and other governance bodies.
- Lead the coordination of the annual external audit process for unlisted asset valuations, including managing requests, timelines, stakeholder engagement, and issue resolution.
- Coordinate the Valuations team work plan and priorities, chair weekly team meetings, and support the effective delivery of team objectives.
- Provide coaching, training, and technical guidance to team members, helping build valuation capability and supporting career development.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across valuation governance, processes, systems, reporting, and technology, including leading strategic projects and process enhancements.
