Kickstart Your Career with a Regional Dental Assistant Traineeship!
Join one of SA Dental's regional clinics as a Dental Assistant Trainee. You'll receive hands-on training and support while developing the skills needed to become a qualified Dental Assistant. Working within a Statewide Dental Service clinic, you'll support patients and dental professionals while helping improve oral health outcomes for some of South Australia's most vulnerable communities.
What is a Dental Assistant Traineeship?
Our 12-month traineeship program, starting in January 2027, combines on-the-job training under expert supervision with study towards your Certificate III in Dental Assisting through TAFE SA (fees payable by the trainee)
By the end of the traineeship, you will have mastered the essential skills required of a dental assistant, from chair-side support to infection control. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience in the dental industry while making a real difference to patient care and outcomes.

- Individuals 17 years and above
- Completed Year 11 as a minimum.
- Must be a resident of South Australia
