About the role

As we expand, we are looking for an experienced Account Executive who shares our values and wants to be part of something we're genuinely proud of.

This role will take ownership of an existing Account Executive's portfolio and will be responsible for servicing those clients while also supporting new business generated through the firm's growing referral network (lower client count, larger income/revenue). You will be trusted to manage client relationships end to end,



deliver technically sound advice and uphold the high service standards Malton Road is known for.

You will also play a key role in supporting, mentoring and developing junior staff, acting as a technical resource and sounding board for both client and team enquiries.

The portfolio spans a diverse range of industries including technology, biotech, life sciences, corporate and listed entities, hospitality, medical services, entertainment, AV production, renewable energies and more. We are drawn to the unconventional and enjoy working with clients who present interesting challenges.

A commission share arrangement is in place for self-generated business.

This role suits someone who is comfortable operating in a growing business, enjoys helping shape systems and processes and wants to be part of a firm building something meaningful over the long term.

Our Workspace

Our office is based in Summer Hill, housed in a beautifully converted flour mill, complete with a café, coffee roaster and shops. Commuting is a breeze with a light rail stop less than 100 meters away and train stations within a short walk. Street parking is readily available for those who prefer to drive.

We are not fussed on corporate attire, we're pretty casual here (neat and tidy/smart casual).





We offer flexibility with a hybrid working arrangement.

Critical skills required:

- Minimum 3 years' experience as an insurance broker

- Experience must encompass any general insurance broking discipline with comprehensive product knowledge across all classes of general insurance

- Experience across financial lines, liability and commercial insurance placements. Exposure to technology, life sciences or corporate risks will be highly regarded.

- Experience with claim management

- Tier 1 qualified - mandatory

- Diploma of Financial Services (Insurance Broking) would be ideal, but not essential

- Attention to detail - this is non-negotiable and something we test for

- Strong communication skills (both written and oral)

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with a demonstrated ability to quickly learn new systems

- Must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident to be considered for this position
