About the role

This is a hands-on role within a growing specialty coffee roastery, supporting all aspects of production, packing, dispatch, stock management, and general roastery operations. As part of your onboarding and training, you'll spend time learning coffee roasting, production workflows, and quality control processes alongside the Head Roaster. Once established in the role, your primary focus will be supporting the day-to-day running of the roastery, ensuring orders are packed and dispatched accurately, stock is maintained, and production runs smoothly. From time to time, you'll also step into roasting responsibilities to provide coverage during staff leave, illness, or periods of increased demand.

Key responsibilities

- Prepare and package coffee for wholesale, retail, and online orders

- Pick, pack, and dispatch orders accurately and efficiently

- Prepare coffee and packaging requirements for daily production

- Receive, organise, and store incoming deliveries

- Maintain stock levels of coffee, packaging, and consumables

- Assist with inventory management and stocktakes

- Maintain a clean, organised, and food-safe workspace

- Clean and maintain roastery equipment and work areas





- Support roasting operations as required

- Learn roasting and quality control procedures over time

About you

- Reliable, punctual, and self-motivated

- Organised and detail-oriented

- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

- Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving stock

- Able to work independently and as part of a team

- Positive, proactive, and eager to learn

- Interested in coffee and specialty coffee production

- Experience in warehousing, production, manufacturing, or food processing (desirable)

- Experience picking and packing orders (desirable)

- Previous coffee industry experience (desirable)
