This well respected not-for-profit disability service provider dedicated to delivering high-quality, person-centred supports that empower individuals to lead meaningful and fulfilling lives is seeking a strong Chief Operating Officer (COO).
The COO will provide executive oversight of service delivery, operational performance, quality, risk management, compliance, workplace health and safety, and financial performance across the organisation. You will work closely with senior leaders including the Disability Services Manager, Corporate Services Manager and other operational leads to drive continuous improvement, operational sustainability and service excellence across accommodation, day programs, health services and support coordination. The successful candidate will also serve as Deputy CEO, representing at the Board, government and community forums when required.
Key responsibilities
- Provide executive leadership across all operational service areas
- Translate strategic goals into practical operational plans and measurable outcomes
- Drive service excellence, continuous improvement and organisational performance
- Lead quality, risk, compliance and WHS frameworks across the organisation
- Oversee operational financial performance in partnership with the CFO
- Ensure compliance with NDIS Practice Standards and regulatory requirements
- Support and mentor senior operational leaders
- Develop and implement operational policies, procedures and governance systems
- Lead organisational change initiatives and strategic execution
- Act as Deputy CEO and represent Inala with key stakeholders when required
About you
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Operations Management, Disability Services, Community Services or a related discipline
- Extensive senior operational leadership experience
- Experience leading multi-site service operations
- Strong financial management and budget oversight capability
- Comprehensive knowledge of the NDIS setting, Practice Standards and Quality & Safeguards Commission requirements
- Significant experience in quality, risk and WHS management
- Proven ability to lead, mentor and develop senior managers
- Experience translating strategic plans into operational outcomes
- Demonstrated commitment to person-centred, rights-based disability services
- Experience working with Boards and supporting or deputising for a CEO
