About the role

Kobe Creations is seeking an experienced Developer Programmer to join our Melbourne team. This is a hands-on full-stack role working across eCommerce websites, B2B portals, custom web applications, APIs and business system integrations. You will be involved across the full development lifecycle – understanding business requirements, helping shape the technical approach, developing front-end and back-end functionality, testing, deployment, troubleshooting and ongoing improvement. The role suits a developer who enjoys solving real business problems rather than simply building brochure websites.

Key responsibilities

- Develop, test, deploy and maintain web applications, eCommerce solutions and custom software.

- Develop and maintain both front-end and back-end application functionality.

- Write clean, maintainable and scalable code in line with technical and business requirements.

- Build reusable application components and contribute to solution design and technical architecture.

- Develop, consume and maintain RESTful APIs, webhooks and third-party integrations.

- Integrate web applications with eCommerce platforms and external business systems such as ERP, CRM, POS, inventory, warehouse, payment and freight systems.

- Work with eCommerce platforms including BigCommerce, Shopify and WordPress / WooCommerce.

- Design, manage and optimise relational database structures for performance and data integrity.

- Test, debug and troubleshoot applications, integrations and production issues.

- Support application deployment across development, staging and production environments.

About you

- A relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Development or a related field.

- Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience in software development, web development, full-stack development or a closely related role.





- Strong commercial experience with PHP and a PHP framework such as Laravel.

- Strong HTML5, CSS3 and responsive web development skills.

- Strong JavaScript experience, including modern frameworks such as React or Vue.

- Experience with MySQL or similar relational databases.

- Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs and third-party systems.

- Experience with eCommerce or content management platforms such as BigCommerce, Shopify, WordPress / WooCommerce or similar.

- Understanding of software testing, debugging, deployment and production support processes.

- Familiarity with Git or similar version control systems.
