About the role
ClubsACT is looking for an energetic, highly organised and commercially minded Corporate Partnerships & Office Manager to lead the management and growth of corporate partnership programs while overseeing the day-to-day operation of the Barton office. Corporate partnerships are a key part of ClubsACT's work with a well-established group of industry partners with important, long-standing relationships across Canberra's community club sector. This role will ensure those relationships remain strong, valuable and active, while identifying and developing new businesses that could benefit from becoming part of the ClubsACT network.
The office management component is also an key part of the position. ClubsACT is a small organisation with 2.5 staff, so the successful applicant will play a hands-on role in keeping the office organised, responsive and operating effectively. This is an active, outward-facing role for someone who enjoys meeting people, building relationships, generating ideas and following opportunities through. It requires sound judgement, discretion and the ability to handle confidential and commercially sensitive information appropriately.
The position is ordinarily worked during normal business hours. Some flexibility will be required from time to time to attend or support early morning or evening events, industry functions and other activities outside normal office hours. Occasional travel may also be required.
Key responsibilities
- Manage ClubsACT's established corporate partner portfolio and serve as the principal day-to-day contact for partners
- Maintain regular, purposeful contact with partners, understand their business priorities and identify ways to strengthen their relationships with ClubsACT and member clubs
- Manage partnership renewals, proposals, agreements, benefits, promotional commitments, invoices and review dates
- Identify and pursue suitable new corporate partners and maintain an active pipeline of opportunities
- Work closely with the CEO on marketing, partner communications, campaigns, member updates and the promotion of ClubsACT activities
- Connect partners with member clubs through introductions, meetings, events, forums and other industry activities
- Coordinate member events, partner functions, suppliers, registrations, sponsorship requirements and event-day arrangements
- Manage the day-to-day administration and coordination of the ClubsACT office in Barton
- Supervise the Administrative Officer and help ensure office systems, records, suppliers, communications and administrative processes operate effectively
- Support the CEO with meeting preparation, correspondence, reporting, stakeholder communications and other organisational priorities
About you
- Confident and personable relationship builder who enjoys being active, visible and engaged
- Organised, practical and comfortable taking responsibility for the smooth operation of a small office
- Comfortable speaking with business owners, senior executives, club leaders, government representatives and suppliers
- Able to spot an opportunity, develop an idea and then do the practical work needed to deliver it
- Experience in the hospitality, licensed club or broader community club sector is desirable
- Understanding of the operating environment and priorities of hospitality businesses is desirable
- Current driver's licence and vehicle is desirable
- Handle commercially sensitive, member, partner and stakeholder information with a high level of discretion, confidentiality and professionalism
