About Knox Private Hospital

Our 24/7 Emergency Department supports a diverse range of medical and surgical specialties, including highly complex procedures. About the Role

As an Associate Nurse Unit Manager,



you will play a key leadership role within the Emergency Department, supporting the Nurse Unit Manager and helping drive excellence in patient care, team performance and clinical outcomes.

You will:

- Provide clinical and operational leadership to ensure safe, high-quality patient care
- Support and mentor nursing staff to foster professional growth and development
- Promote a positive learning culture focused on continuous improvement
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with VMOs and multidisciplinary teams
- Coordinate evidence-based nursing care delivery across the department
- Contribute to workforce planning and effective resource management
- Lead and participate in clinical audits, accreditation activities and quality improvement initiatives
- Provide direct patient care when required
- Act as a positive role model, inspiring excellence within the team

About You

You are a passionate and motivated Emergency Department nurse who enjoys supporting others, leading by example and contributing to a positive team culture.

To be successful, you will have:

- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse
- Postgraduate qualification in Critical Care
- Minimum three years' clinical nursing experience
- Sound clinical knowledge and decision-making skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Demonstrated commitment to high-quality patient care and customer service
- Excellent organisational, prioritisation and time management skills
- Compliance with National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards
- Current Working with Children Check (where applicable)

Desirable:

- Previous experience as an ANUM, Clinical Nurse Specialist or senior Emergency Department nurse

If you are successful, you will receive a salary based on your years of relevant nursing experience against the current nursing Enterprise Agreement the Victoria - Nurses' and Midwives' Agreement 2025 (Salay range between $60.15 - $62.17 + 12% Super)
