Diesel Mechanic – Prime Movers

TRS Resourcing is seeking a trade-qualified Diesel Mechanic to join a well-established heavy vehicle workshop in Melbourne’s south-eastern suburbs.

You will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing and repairing a mixed fleet of heavy vehicles, including prime movers and rigid trucks.

Your Responsibilities

- Completing scheduled servicing and preventative maintenance.
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.
- Working on engines, transmissions, braking systems, steering, suspension and driveline components.
- Conducting vehicle inspections and identifying required repairs.
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and to a high standard.
- Maintaining accurate servicing and repair records.

About You To be considered, you will require:

- An Australian-recognised Heavy Vehicle or Diesel Mechanic trade qualification.
- Strong hands-on experience servicing and repairing heavy vehicle prime movers.




- Sound diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience working on DAF and/or Volvo vehicles will be highly regarded.

You must also be able to provide:

- Evidence of your relevant trade qualification.
