TRS Resourcing is seeking experienced, trade-qualified Prime Mover and Trailer Mechanics to join a well-established heavy transport workshop in Melbourne’s western suburbs.

This is an excellent opportunity to secure consistent, long-term work maintaining a modern fleet of prime movers and heavy vehicle trailers. You’ll enjoy reliable workshop hours, plenty of overtime and a genuine pathway to permanent employment.

The Role Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

- Servicing prime movers and heavy vehicle trailers in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults.
- Rebuilding trailer suspension, braking systems and axles.
- Completing preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing.
- Carrying out comprehensive trailer inspections.
- Attending to mechanical breakdowns and completing repairs.
- Maintaining accurate service records through the workshop management system.
- Working safely while maintaining a clean and organised workshop.

To Be Successful You will require:

- An Australian-recognised trade qualification as a Heavy Vehicle,



Diesel or Trailer Mechanic.
- Previous experience working on prime movers and heavy vehicle trailers.
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
- Experience rebuilding mechanical components.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- A current driver’s licence.
- Your own trade tools.
- Full Australian working rights.
- Current Melbourne residency.
- The ability to provide two recent employment references.

Desirable
- Forklift licence.
- Experience maintaining a broad range of heavy transport trailers.
