About the role

DP Jones & Co Memorials is seeking an experienced skilled or semi-skilled Foundry Operator to work closely with our Foundry Manager and Operations Director. This is a diverse role tailored to the individual, working primarily in our Metal division with secondary exposure to our Stone division. Based at our Kyabram manufacturing location with potential for occasional off-site job activity, you will be encouraged and supported to continue with your trade and skills development.

Key responsibilities

- Work closely with our Foundry Manager to assist with key activities in the assembly and production of cast bronze plaques

- Participate in all aspects of a Bronze & Aluminium Foundry cast plaque manufacturing process including pattern creation, sand moulding and pre-melt preparation, metal casting, and metal cutting, polishing, sandblasting, and painting

- Demonstrate accuracy, attention to detail and the ability to read plans, drawings and layouts

- Materials handling and general production duties

- Promote and maintain a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with all OHS requirements

About you

- Cert 2+ qualifications in Fabrication, Concreting, Stonemasonry or relevant experience highly regarded

- Experience in complimentary industries – Fabrication, Welding,



Concreting, Tiling, Landscaping

- Ability to set and meet production timeline targets

- Display a work ethic suited to a heavy industry

- Experience in the safe use of power tools and hand tools

- Experience with industrial machine operation advantageous (table saws, sanding belts, Linishers, milling machines, sandblasting, spray booth)

- Drivers licence, forklift licence and construction induction card advantageous

- Solid work ethic, attention to detail, and pride in workmanship
