About the role

McElligotts is seeking an organised and proactive HSEQ Coordinator to support Health, Safety, Setting and Quality compliance across projects, sites and office teams. Reporting to the HSEQ Managers, you will coordinate onboarding, mobilisation documentation, HSEQ records, training and competency evidence, audits, incident reporting, corrective actions and project compliance documentation. You will also support safety communications, continuous improvement initiatives and practical HSEQ guidance across the business. The role may require short-term travel to sites across Australia when required, including for site audits, project support and compliance activities.

Key responsibilities
Coordinate project onboarding, mobilisation packs, inductions, licences, training records and subcontractor compliance documentation
Maintain HSEQ records, registers, controlled documents, SWMS, risk assessments, permits and compliance evidence
Support audits, incident reporting, investigations, corrective actions and continuous improvement activities
Monitor training, competency and compliance requirements across projects




Liaise with project managers, supervisors, clients and subcontractors to close out compliance requirements before mobilisation

About you
3+ years' experience in HSEQ coordination, compliance, safety, quality or contractor management
Experience in industrial painting, abrasive blasting, construction, maintenance, shutdowns or heavy industry is desirable
Experience supporting ISO 45001, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 management systems desirable
Sound understanding of Australian WHS requirements, contractor management and site compliance processes
Robust organisational, communication, stakeholder engagement and record-keeping skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office, electronic document management systems and online onboarding platforms; Damstra, RIW, 3DS or similar systems desirable
Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety is a minimum requirement
