About the role

Reporting to the General Manager – Merchandise, you'll take ownership of our Rubber & Flooring product category, driving category strategy, product innovation and commercial performance across both our retail and commercial channels. Working closely with suppliers, Marketing and our franchise network, you'll identify growth opportunities, develop market-leading product ranges and deliver category strategies that improve sales, profitability and customer outcomes. This is a 12-month contract role.

Key responsibilities
Develop and execute category strategies that drive sales, margin and market share.
Manage the full product lifecycle, from sourcing and development through to launch and performance review.
Build solid supplier partnerships and negotiate commercial agreements.
Partner with Marketing to deliver successful product launches and promotional campaigns.
Analyse market trends and customer insights to identify growth opportunities.
Support franchisees with category expertise, product knowledge and commercial initiatives.

About you
Proven experience in Category Management, Buying or Product Management.




Robust commercial and financial acumen.
Experience developing successful category strategies and product ranges.
Excellent supplier negotiation and relationship management skills.
Strong analytical capability and a data-driven approach to decision making.
Outstanding stakeholder management and communication skills.
Experience within retail, franchising, hardware, DIY, home improvement, industrial or consumer product categories will be highly regarded.
