As an Early Childhood Educator at Seaford District Community Children’s Centre, you will be part of a supportive and collaborative team committed to providing high-quality education and care for children.

Depending on your qualification, experience and role within the team, your responsibilities will include:
Building warm, respectful and responsive relationships with children, supporting them to feel safe, secure, confident and included.
Developing positive and team-oriented relationships with families and recognising families as key partners in their child’s learning and development.
Contributing to the planning, implementation and reflection of engaging, play-based learning experiences that respond to children’s strengths, interests, abilities and individual needs.
Supporting children’s agency, independence, wellbeing and social and emotional development through meaningful everyday interactions and experiences.




Contributing to observations, documentation and assessment of children’s learning and development appropriate to your role and qualification.
Providing a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment that encourages curiosity, exploration and play.
Maintaining high standards of supervision, health, hygiene and safety and supporting the individual needs of children.
Working in accordance with the National Quality Framework, approved learning frameworks, service philosophy, policies and procedures.
Working collaboratively and respectfully with other educators and contributing positively to a solid and supportive team culture.
Participating in reflective practice, professional development and the service’s ongoing quality improvement.
Upholding children’s rights and responsibilities in relation to child safety and child protection.
