About the Role

HEH Civil is seeking a Safety Officer to support a project-based team in Cairns / Far North Queensland. Reporting to the Systems Manager, this role is based onsite in the project site office and will support day-to-day safety, environmental and quality activities for the project.

Key Responsibilities
Support site inspections, audits, task observations and hazard reporting
Assist with risk assessments, SWMS, incidents and corrective actions
Help maintain HSEQ documentation, records, training and toolbox talks
Support the Integrated Management System and ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 requirements

About You
Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety
Construction White Card and current Queensland Driver’s Licence




Valuable communication skills and confidence working with site teams
Willingness to learn and build practical safety experience in civil construction
Experience in safety, WHS, HSEQ, civil construction or DTMR projects will be highly regarded, but is not essential
