Job overview

Picking fruit is a physically demanding job that requires climbing ladders and carrying bags that can weigh up to 15 kgs. This job is mostly recommended for fit and motivated individuals who have the ability to adapt to different work environments and can handle working in the heat.

New pickers are trained accordingly to ensure that fruit is picked correctly to colour and size specifications set by management.

Occupational Health and Safety

Before starting work, recent employees are given information about protected work procedures. Detailed information about sun protection, ladder safety and tractor safety is provided and it is expected that employees adhere to these directives and work in a protected and responsible manner.

As part of this process, employees must advise management of any pre-existing injuries.
