Scotch Oakburn College is seeking caring, reliable and community-minded individuals to join our Boarding House team on a casual basis. Located on the beautiful Elphin Road campus, our Boarding House provides a protected, supportive and welcoming home away from home for students from across Tasmania and overseas.
As a Casual Boarding House Duty Staff member, you will contribute to the health, safety, wellbeing and personal development of our boarders. Working alongside an experienced and supportive team, you will assist with daily routines, provide pastoral care and supervision,
support students' wellbeing, and help foster a positive and inclusive residential community.
This is a rewarding chance for individuals who enjoy working with young people and are passionate about creating a nurturing environment where students can thrive both personally and academically.
Key Responsibilities
Support the health, safety and wellbeing of boarders.
Supervise students and assist with daily routines and activities.
Provide pastoral care, guidance and encouragement.
Assist with study support, mealtimes and evening routines.
Administer first aid and medication as required.
Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with Boarding House leadership.
Contribute to a respectful, protected and inclusive boarding community.
