Help us create connection, conversation and community for older men.

Our aged care facility in Griffith, ACT, is looking for a friendly and enthusiastic volunteer to lead a Men’s Group for our residents.

The group is a great prospect for men to get together, share stories, enjoy conversation and participate in activities that interest them.

What you might do
Facilitate relaxed, friendly group discussions
Organise simple activities based on residents’ interests
Encourage conversation, storytelling and sharing of experiences
Talk about sport, current events, hobbies, cars, travel, history or other topics
Help create a welcoming space where everyone feels included
Most importantly, enjoy a cuppa and a chat!

We’re looking for someone who is
Friendly, approachable and a good listener
Comfortable engaging with older people
Reliable and enthusiastic
Interested in building meaningful relationships




Able to bring their own interests, ideas and life experiences to the group

No formal experience is required — just a willingness to spend time with our residents and help create enjoyable social connections.

Whether you’re retired, working part time or simply have some time to give, your involvement could make a real difference to the wellbeing and enjoyment of our residents.
