Casual Accounts & Office Administrator

Location: Mentone, VIC (in-office)

Hours: Casual, approximately 20 hours per week to start, with scope to grow as the business grows

About Us

Avad is a Victorian group spanning labour hire recruitment (construction, manufacturing, warehousing) and private security services. We're growing and need a reliable, detail-focused administrator to help run the accounts and admin side of both businesses.

The Role

You'll be the go-to person for accounts, payroll, and general office administration across both entities. This is a hands-on role for someone who's comfortable with numbers, doesn't mind chasing people for payment, and can be trusted with sensitive information.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

Prepare weekly payroll

Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable

Prepare and send weekly client invoicing

Follow up overdue invoices with clients as our accounts representative

Xero bookkeeping and bank reconciliations

Check current employee onboarding for compliance

Set up recent clients in our systems





Respond to employee enquiries

General admin and email inbox management

What We're Looking For

Experience with payroll and/or bookkeeping (Xero experience highly regarded)

Strong Excel/spreadsheet skills

Comfortable following up clients on overdue payments professionally and persistently

High attention to detail

Trustworthy and discreet; you'll have visibility of sensitive financial and staff information

Able to work independently once trained, but happy to check in when something's unclear

Prior experience in labour hire, or security industries is a bonus but not required

Pay: $32.00 – $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 18.0 – 22.0 per week
