Contract Diesel — Full time

Contract Diesel is looking for an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our team, working across Road Transport, Construction, Exploration Drilling, and Power Generation Equipment — both in the field and at our Welshpool workshop.

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you'll service, diagnose, and maintain a wide range of customer assets to keep them reliable, safe, and performing.

Key Responsibilities
Service, maintain and repair heavy vehicles and equipment across transport, construction, drilling and power generation sectors




Diagnostics and fault-finding
Routine maintenance and breakdown repairs
Accurate service documentation and job reports
Mentor and support apprentices in the team

Requirements
Trade qualification in Heavy Automotive Mechanical
Proven experience on on-highway trucks
Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
Confident using diagnostic laptops/scan tools
Driver's Licence (HR preferred)
Forklift and/or High Risk Work licences (desirable)
Self-motivated, able to work autonomously and under pressure
High attention to detail
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including Drug & Alcohol screening
