Casual Disability Support Worker covering Pakenham, Warragul, Moe and Morwell. The role involves assisting with a multitude of different clientele. Shift times vary and are based on the needs of participants.
Key responsibilities
Assist people with physical disabilities and/or psychosocial disabilities
Support with manual handling where applicable
Work in participants' homes
Take participants to appointments
Access the community with participants
About you
Certificate III in Individual Support (minimum)
Certificate IV in Disability (Ideal)
NDIS screening check (preferred)
Police check (up to date)
Updated First Aid/CPR
PEG / Stoma training (bonus)
Previous experience working with young children
Manual Handling exposure/training
NDIS Module one completed (essential)
Working With Children Check (preferred)
Positive Behaviour Support (bonus)
A licence and car is essential for this role
Outstanding communication skills with English as your first language
Compassionate, self motivated, energetic
Able to work open hours and offer back up if a shift becomes available
