About the role

We're looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team on a part time basis, for 3 days equivalent (with flexibility in days and hours). This role will provide support across accounts payable, accounts receivable and general finance administration.

The successful candidate will work closely with all members of the finance team and play an key role in providing operational support and leave coverage when required. This position is well suited to someone who enjoys structured, routine work, takes pride in accuracy, and prefers a secure role with established processes and procedures.

We will provide you with training and guidance to familiarise yourself with the system and procedures.

Key responsibilities
Process supplier and subcontractor invoices accurately and efficiently.
Prepare and process supplier payments.
Assist with accounts receivable functions, including preparation of invoices and receipting payments.
Perform bank and account reconciliations.
Respond professionally to supplier and customer account enquiries.
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation.
Assist with month-end processes, reporting,



and ad hoc finance support as required.
Provide backup support for team members during periods of annual leave and other absences to ensure continuity of service, with additional hours potentially required during these periods.

Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills.
Confidence in learning and using accounting and business software.
The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team setting.

A reliable, positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance administration role (desirable).
