Grounds & Property Maintenance

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, experienced and motivated Grounds & Property Maintenance Crew Member to join our team. This is a full-time position for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in their work, and has a strong work ethic.

BMS Commercial Services is relatively current to the Bendigo area, but we are well established as a business and are now looking to grow our local team. This role has the potential to develop into a team leader position for the right person.

About the Role

The role involves a variety of grounds and property maintenance tasks, including:
General grounds maintenance and garden care.
Lawn mowing, edging, pruning, hedging, and weed control.
Applying horticultural knowledge to maintain healthy gardens and landscapes.
Operating and maintaining a range of commercial outdoor power equipment and machinery.
Cleaning gutters using a vaccum suction unit and carrying out work at heights safely.
Travelling to various work sites, including occasional overnight stays.

What We're Looking For

The successful applicant will:
Have experience in grounds maintenance, landscaping, or horticulture.




Possess sound horticultural knowledge.
Be physically fit and capable of manual labour.
Be reliable, punctual, honest, and trustworthy.
Work efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
Be confident using outdoor machinery and willing to learn the maintenance and servicing requirements of equipment.
Be comfortable working at heights for gutter cleaning and similar tasks.
Be willing to travel and stay away overnight when required.
Hold a current driver's licence
Be willing to undergo and successfully obtain a National Police Check, as our work sites are government facilities where a current police clearance is a requirement.

What We Offer

Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm.
