The Midwest Region extends along the coast from Lancelin in the south to north of Carnarvon then inland past Meekatharra. The regional headquarters is in Geraldton. District offices are located at Geraldton, Jurien Bay and Denham, with District work centres at Monkey Mia, Burringurrah, Yulga Jinna, Gascoyne Junction, Kalbarri, Thundelarra, Cue, Cervantes and the Pinnacles. The lands and waters we manage with our Traditional Owner partners are diverse and beautiful, from coastal cliffs, dunes and heath to rich marine communities to outback ranges and vast scrublands.
We currently have an chance for an Operations Manager to join our team.
Under the minimal direction of the District Manager, this position:
Leads and implements operational joint management works programs for the Gascoyne District,
determining standards and ensuring all activities are compatible with departmental and service objectives and joint management responsibilities.
Leads and manages staff and ensures a close liaison and working relationship occurs across the district and between regional staff and specialist branches, to provide for an integrated and effective delivery of services.Oversees the management of ranger teams with a focus on promoting and encouraging Aboriginal involvement in the workforce and works to increase Aboriginal participation.
