Barista / All rounder

Coogee Continental Deli is a is a suburban hub for outstanding coffee and continental favorites. We are searching for a passionate, reliable, and customer-focused Barista to join our team. As a Barista, you’ll be the face of our café, responsible for delivering exceptional coffee, friendly service, and a welcoming atmosphere. You’ll prepare a range of espresso-based beverages, assist with food service, and contribute to a clean and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and serve high-quality coffee and beverages to consistent standards
Take customer orders with accuracy, warmth, and efficiency
Operate coffee machines, grinders, and other café equipment
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the coffee station and café area
Follow food safety and hygiene procedures at all times
Restock supplies and rotate stock as required
Serve customers and assist with operational tasks
Handle cash and EFTPOS transactions accurately
Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner
Support team members during busy periods and help create a positive team workplace

Skills & Experience:
Previous experience in a café or hospitality setting (barista experience preferred)
Confident using equipment and steaming milk to texture




Knowledge of coffee beans, grind, extraction time, and drink variations
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
A strong work ethic, reliability, and team-focused attitude
Flexibility to work mornings, weekends, and public holidays as needed

Desirable:
Barista training or certification
Experience with food handling or kitchen assistance
Interest in coffee and hospitality trends

Our store operates 7 days per week.

The successful applicate will be required to work day shifts and weekends. With possible afternoon shifts & public holidays. We offer a friendly, fair work place, we work hard but have the music cracked and have a laugh. The applicant must reside in Australia and have the correct working visa (if necessary) to work in Australia.

Pay: From $33.20 per hour
