Kitchen Hand – Baringo Food & Wine Co

Baringo Food & Wine Co, located at 283 Station Road, Current Gisborne VIC 3438, is looking for a reliable and hardworking Kitchen Hand to join our busy kitchen team.

Position Available: Kitchen Hand
Employment Type: Part-time / Full time depending on availability
Work Location: In person

Key Responsibilities
Wash dishes, pots, pans, utensils and kitchen equipment.
Keep dishwashing and kitchen areas clean and organised.
Assist with general kitchen cleaning throughout the shift.
Clean floors, benches, shelves, cool rooms and storage areas.
Empty rubbish and recycling bins and maintain waste areas.
Assist with basic food preparation when required, including washing and preparing vegetables.
Help receive and store deliveries correctly.
Assist with stock rotation and keeping storage areas tidy.
Follow food safety, hygiene and workplace safety procedures.
Support chefs and cooks during busy service periods.




Help maintain a clean, safe and efficient kitchen environment.
Complete other reasonable kitchen duties as directed by the Head Chef or management.

Requirements
Previous kitchen hand or hospitality experience preferred, but not essential.
Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
Good understanding of cleanliness and hygiene.
Physically able to stand for long periods and perform cleaning and lifting duties.
Available to work evenings, weekends and public holidays when required.
Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Pay: From $26.44 per hour
