Woodroffe Hotel is a 103-room hotel in Southport, conveniently located close to Southport South tram station, Australia Fair Shopping Centre and Broadwater Parklands. As we do not have a separate maintenance team, we are currently seeking a reliable and versatile Housekeeping & Maintenance Attendant. In this dual role, you will help ensure our rooms and public areas are clean, comfortable, and guest-ready, while also handling general upkeep and basic repairs around the property.

Key responsibilities
Clean and service guest rooms, including beds, bathrooms, floors and surfaces
Replace linen, replenish room supplies, and maintain back-of-house areas
Perform basic maintenance and handyperson duties across the hotel (e.g., repairs, moving furniture, basic troubleshooting)
Identify and resolve immediate maintenance issues, reporting major damage to your supervisor
Engage in manual labour and heavy lifting as required for hotel upkeep
Use cleaning materials with care and strictly follow safety procedures

Skills and Experience
Experience with, or a robust willingness to learn, general maintenance and handyperson tasks




Comfortable in a physically active role requiring manual labour
At least 1 year of experience as a room attendant, cleaner, or in a similar role is preferred
Able to follow instructions, work independently, and solve practical problems
Highly adaptable and available to work a rotating roster (including mornings, weekends, and public holidays)

Pay and conditions

Part-time, Permanent $26.44 per hour base rate, plus superannuation
Applicable penalty rates apply, up to $59.49 per hour (Including loading for night, weekend, and public holiday shifts)
Training will be provided
